KNLA attacks Regime’s Wi Yaw camp in Thaton

The KNU Brigade 1 Thaton District officials told Than Lwin Times that they attacked the 9th Light Infantry Division’s Wi Yaw camp in Wi Yaw village, Mon State’s Thaton Township.

With heavy and light weapons, a combined force of Karen Liberation Army (KNLA) Brigade 1, Batallin 2; Thaton People’s Defense Force (TPDF); and Belin People’s Defense Force attacked the military camp.

At least three military personnel might have been killed in the attack, an official from the KNU Brigade 1 Thaton District said.

At least five military vehicles arrived at the military base on June 4 after the attack on the military base.

Three military personnel were killed in a fight between junta forces and the KNLA on Theinseik-Htone Bo Lay-Pinne Taw Road in Thaton Township on June 2.
