Mawlamyine, April (15)

The main roads of Mawlamyine city are empty and there are no revellers on the third day of Thingyan, A-kyat Nei.

The resistance forces have urged the people to boycott Thingyan, organized by the military council in Mon State.

The regime has constructed a central pavilion in Mawlamyine, the capital of Mon State, and celebrated the Water Throwing Festival under strict surveillance.

The State Military Council has forcibly invited departmental officials to the Water Festival today, Thingyan A-kyat Nei, in order to make the regime’s pavilion more active.
