Junta ransacks houses, takes valuables in Dawei’s Thingadone village

The junta armed forces ransacked the houses and looted valuable things in Thingadone village of Dawei Township in Tanintaryi region, the locals told Than Lwin Times.

On July 5, about 200 military troops from Dawei came to reinforce Htee Khee and were temporarily stationed in Thingadone village.

Residents were forced to flee as the junta fired mortar shells into Thingadone village and nearby villages.

The military personnel then raided more than 40 homes of the locals who fled, and took motorcycles, food, and clothes as well as valuable items.

After that, they reportedly left for Htee Kee on July 7.

Three local homes were damaged by artillery fire while the military council was temporarily stationed.
