Five people were killed after a brick wall of No.5 Basic Education High School in Shwe Taung Ward in Mawlamyine collapsed, the locals confirmed to Than Lwin Times.
The brick wall of B.E.H.S. 5 collapsed on the roof of stalls next to the school in the Malar Win neighborhood at around 9:20 am today, July 22.
According to social rescue workers, three women and two men died as a result of the brick wall collapse, while the other was rescued alive.
The deceased from the school wall collapse were taken to Mawlamyine hospital.
The area where the accident happened was cordoned off.
