Three PDF comrades’ homes sealed off

Kyaikto, August (6)

The military council sealed off the homes of Ko Aye Min Tun, the officer in-charge for Thaton PDF, and two other PDFs, the sources told Than Lwin Times.

The homes of Ko Aye Min Htun from Kankaw ward in Kyaikto Township, PDF comrade Ko San Lin from Taungthusu Ward, and Ko Win Ko from Theinzayat Township were cordoned off by the junta on August 4.

The residences of the three will be taken as state property, according to the military council, because they are linked to a terrorist group.

The military council has opened cases against Ko Aye Min Tun with more than 10 charges in addition to Section 505 (a) and 50 (j), and Ko Win Ko and Ko San Lin have also been opened with Terrorism Act including Section 505(a), said the sources familiar with the matter.

Former police sergeant Ko Aye Min Tun served as the personal assistant of Mon State Chief Minister Dr. Aye Zan before the military coup, and later joined the Civil Disobedience Movement.

After the military takeover, at least eight homes belonging to NLD party leaders, NLD party supporters, and PDFs have been sealed off in Kyaikto Township.
