A PDF comrade lost his life in an attack on the regime’s police station in the downtown of Thanbyuzayat Twonship in Mon State, a source from Thanbyuzayat PDF told Than Lwin Times.
Four members of Thanbyuzayat People’s Defense Force arrived on their motorcycles and attacked the police station with grenades and gunfire at around 8 pm on August 17.
After exchange of gunfire, one PDF comrade was killed and the other was injured, while at least three policemen might have died, a local said.
The police then blocked roadways and conducted searches after the attack.
The security forces took the injured policemen to a hospital, and their conditions are still unknown.
The People’s Defense Forces carried out frequent bomb attacks on police stations, administrative offices, and regime departments after the military took power.
