Junta troops launch multiple rockets in Demoso throughout the day

Demoso, December (7)

After the People’s Defense Forces reclaimed the villages where the military council had been stationed in Demoso Township, Kayah State, the army attacked those areas day and night using multiple rocket systems, the PDF told Than Lwin Times.

On November 30, the junta troops retreated after the local resistance forces occupied the villages of Kontha and Thaysulae, where the regime troops were stationed.

Following that incident, images of the regime’s Loikaw Artillery firing a series of rockets into Demoso Township circulated on social media on December 5.

The regime’s Light Infantry Battaloin 102, based in Ngwe Daung, are launching multiple rockets from the Loikaw artillery, mainly targeting Thaysulae, Dawkamee, and the eastern side of Kontha village in Demoso Township.

About half of the homes of the people in these villages have been completely destroyed by the military council’s multiple rocket system, and no casualties have been reported so far.

According to the People’s Defense Forces, heavy weapons from the Loikaw artillery can hit anywhere in Demoso Township, raising concern among the people.

It was dark enough to see nothing in the 50-foot distance where the weapon struck, and the number of attacks increased threefold, the source from Demoso PDF said.

The Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) also warned the people to be cautious, as the fighting could intensify if the military council attempts to take full control of Demoso township, which is the focal point of Kayah State.
