Bokepyin, December (14)

The regime forces forced the villagers to leave and camped at Yadanarpon village in Tanintharyi’s Bokepyin Township, the PDF members told Than Lwin Time.

The Karen National Defense Force (KNLA) and the PDF joint forces launched an attack on a junta camp on December 3, killing three soldiers and injuring eight others.

After the attack, the regime forces entered the community, opened fire, and drove the people from their homes.

Residents of Yadanarpon village fled to Khaunghlwe village in Thailand as a result of the military council’s expulsion, and some have relocated to safer areas.

A source said that if the fighting escalates, the military council intends to use Yadanarpon village as a military base, so the residents are being driven out.

Yadanarpon village relies on mining for its livelihood with more than 200 houses and a population of more than 800. News-Than Lwin Times
