Ye’s Hintkayin police station set ablaze by YGF

Ye, January (12)

The Ye Guerrilla Force (YGF) raided the Hnitkayin police station, which is located in Lamaing town in Mon State’s Ye, around 1 am on January 11, according to its statement.

The Ye Guerrilla Force raided the police station after receiving reports that policemen were living there.

During the raid, however, they did not spot any junta troops and then destroyed the camp’s materials and buildings, the YGF told Than Lwin Times.

After the raid on the police station, the YGF attacked the joint force of the junta army and Border Guard Force (BGF), which were stationed at Kyotadar village in Ye, with small and heavy weapons around 6:30 am on January 11.

The attack might have killed some military personnel, but the details are under investigation, the YGF reported.

Subsequently, the Light Infantry Battalion (588) in Ye launched mortar shells around surrounding areas after their outpost was attacked, the locals said.

On January 6, the YGF attacked the military outpost stationed at Kyotadar village, killing two soldiers.
