NUG foreign minister extends gratitude for Chinese stance in favour of Myanmar people

Myanmar’s parallel civilian government minister expressed thanks to Chinese government for its stance in favour of Myanmar people at the UN Security Council’s resolution.

National Unity Government’s Foreign Minister Zin Mar Aung extended Lunar New Year Greetings  to Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang on 22 January.

In her greetings, Zin Mar Aung assured that the fruits of Myanmar’s Spring Revolution will not harm the interests and the long-term stable development of the regional countries and the People’s Republic of China.

She added in the message that Myanmar and China would have closer relations in the coming year of the Rabbit, the New Chinese Yar.

The Britain drafted a resolution called for the immediate release of all arbitrarily detained prisoners,  including State Council Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and called the military for an immediate end to all forms of violence throughout the country.

In December 2022, the UNSC adopted the resolution which is the first of its kind on Myanmar in more than seven decades, with 12 of the 15 members in favor, while India, China, and Russia abstained.

Foreign Minister Zin Mar Aung also remarked that the recent stance of China has shown a proof of good neighborliness as they did not stand for the brutal junta regime.

 Political analysts said that the relations between Myanmar military and China is gradually declining.
