Veteran Myanmar Leiwei champion dies in highway car accident

A former Myanmar Leiwei champion was among three men died in a car accident  in  Yedashe Township, Bago region, on 4 March.

 The turnover of YUTONG coach operated by Do Nyi Naung Express Bus-line occurred near 167- Mile post on Yangon-Mandalay highway around 6:30 am. Twenty-five passengers were also injured in the accident, according to a member of civil services society to Than Lwin Times.

 He also said, “Veteran Leiwei champion Shwe Du Wunn died from serious injuries in the accident. His body is expected to bring to his family after the autopsy at the Swa township hospitals. Family members of other victims are also here.”

Shwe Du Wunn is 52 years old now, and he was a Gold Middleweight Championship Title Belt at 75-kilo  in 1996.

Fifteen men and 10 women, out 31 passengers onboard—20 males and 11 females—were rushed to the local hospital, according to the fire services department.
