Belin-based junta’s LIB 3 suffers drone attack

Belin, April (12)

The KNLA joint force launched a drone attack on the junta’s Light Infantry Battalion 3 near Pai Dawei village in Mon State’s Belin Township, a representative from PDF-Thaton District told Than Lwin Times.

On April 10, around 3:00 p.m., junta’s LIB 3 was attacked by two drones of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and PDF, and one of their drones was also damaged.

The drone attack damaged the main checkpoint at ILB, and the junta troops may have been killed, but the ground situation is still being investigated, he said.

After being attacked by a drone, the junta battalion retaliated by firing at least eight rounds of mortar shells, but there were no casualties on the KNLA side.

The military lobbyists on Telegram claimed that only a few buildings were damaged in the attack, but no soldiers were injured.

On April 9, the KNLA joint forces attacked the camp of the junta-aligned Border Guard Force (BGF) in Maelan village, Belin Township, with a drone, killing two BGF troops.
