Junta policeman joins CDM in Tanintharyi

A junta police joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) and defected to the Tanintharyi PDF, sources told Than Lwin Times.

Policeman Min Oak who joined the people’s embrace is from Mawrawaddy naval base in Rakhine’s Maungdaw Township.

He is a native of Tanintharyi and no longer wants to serve under the military council, so he joined the CDM.

According to Tanintharyi PDF, the policeman was provided with meals and accommodation, and kept in a secure place.

On April 14, private Aung Moe Naing from Light Infantry Battalion 561 based in Nyaungpingwin village, Tanintharyi Township, defected to Tanintharyi PDF with weapons and ammunition.

At least 10 soldiers and policemen who joined the CDM after the military coup took refuge in Taninthary PDF, most of them are joining the fight back against the military council.
