6 people, including 4 monks, arrested in Launglon

Launglon, May (2)

After a staff of the General Administration Department was shot dead while making a donation at a monastery in Pyinsathimaw village, Launglon Township, Tanintharyi Region, the regime troops arrested six people, including four monks, locals confirmed to Than Lwin Times.

On April 29, gunmen entered the monastery and gunned down Ko Min Wah, a driver of the General Administration Department of Launglon Township, who came to the monastery in Pyinsathimaw village to make a donation.

After the administrative staff was killed, the junta arrested the four monks for interrogating and released them on May 1 from the Launglon police station.

The two local males who went to pick up the four monks, according to a local, were detained and interrogated by the junta troops.

It is reported that the military council did not beat the monks, but questioned them about the details of the shooting incident.

The Dawei Defense Team (DDT) announced that Ko Min Wah was assassinated because he was a Pyu Saw Htee member who drove the soldiers around and informed the soldiers of the location of the members of resistance forces.
