Four military personnel killed in attack on junta base in Palaw

Four military personnel were killed and three others wounded in an attack on the junta base at Htamin Masar village in Tanintharyi Region’s Palaw Township, an official of the Myeik District Battalion told Than Lwin Times.


On May 3, at around 8:00 a.m., the joint revolutionary forces attacked a junta base where around 30 junta troops and Pyu Saw Htee members were deployed using three drones.


After that, there was an exchange of fire for an hour and a half, and a drone of the People’s Defense Forces PDF was destroyed, but no casualties were reported.


More than 500 residents of Htamin Masar and adjacent villages were displaced by the fighting, according to locals.


The junta forces and Pyu Saw Htee group clashed with the anti-regime revolutionary forces in Palawgon village on the morning of May 5. The details of the situation are still unknown.


In Palaw township, where martial law has been declared, the junta army and the revolutionary forces have been fighting since February.
