Salingyi, 6 June

Thousands of locals in Salingyi Township, Sagaing region,  fled from home as a military column with about 100 forces have approached to their area.

Locals said to Than Lwin Times that the military column from Monywa Township entered Nyaungbingyi village on 4 June, and people from six villages in this area left their homes.

The military used Ko Bant Chi, who is a member of people’s defense organization and he was arrested on 3 June, as a human shield on their way.

The junta troops are stationed at two locations of Nyaungbingyi village, and their destination remains unknown.

The Assistance Association for Political Prisoner said that nearly 1,600 civilians have been killed after 2021 military coup.
