The artillery shelling of regime forces into Banlaw village in Tanintharyi Township injured two local women, according to the resistance forces.
The shelling followed the attack of allied resistance forces on the police station in Bawdhikan village in the afternoon of July 26.
The mortar shell fired by the junta army exploded in Banlaw village, wounded two local women in their 50s in their legs.
The injured women were transported to the nearest regional hospital by the social rescue team.
The junta army has been launching a barrage of artillery shells into the villages in Tanintharyi, the stronghold of resistance forces.
In June, the junta artillery shelling killed three local residents and injured at least 10 others in Tanintharyi Township.
