Dawei, July (13)

At least ten military personnel might have been killed in landmine attacks near Mechaung village in Tanintharyi Division, sources from the People’s Defense Force told Than Lwin Time.

A military convoy of 15 vehicles heading to Dawei from Pakari was attacked by landmines planted by the PDF (Aden) on the evening of July 11.

The landmine destroyed one military vehicle and reportedly killed not less than 10 soldiers, injuring seven others.

After the attack, the junta armed forces recklessly fired into the surroundings, but the PDF successfully withdrew without any casualties.

Tensions between the military regime and the PDFs along the Dawei-Htee Khee road in Dawei Township have been increasing in recent days, and the junta is continuing to increase its military presence.
