Mawlamyine, April (18)
It must be recognized that the country’s future will shine only when all forms of authoritarianism are eradicated, and security must be prioritized during the revolution, said the deputy chief-of-staff of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA).
This was noted in the congratulatory message of KNLA’s deputy chief-of-staff, Lieutenant General Saw Baw Kyaw Heh, for the 2nd anniversary of the Bamar People’s Liberation Army (BPLA) on April 17.
For the sake of the country’s necessities, equality, and justice, our comrades must continue actively participating in the total elimination of all dictatorship, and all our comrades must understand that the country’s future will be glorious only if all authoritarianism, including the military regime, can be ended.
Lt. Gen. Saw Baw Kyaw Heh reiterated that as an army that is fighting for its basic rights, freedom, it is also necessary to be an army that respects and protects the rights of civilians.
“Special attention must be paid to revolutionary awareness, caution, and security during the revolution, and the stronger the security, the better the chance for the victory of the revolution. We must continuously study to be able to use modern technology to counter military dictatorships,” said Lt. Gen. Saw Bo Kyaw Heh.
He added that, according to the progress of the times, in waging a revolutionary war, not only martial prowess but also wisdom must be combined to fight. Along with the techniques of martial prowess, our army must be prepared for the battle of wisdom.
On the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the foundation of BPLA, we would like to acknowledge and congratulate the leaders and soldiers of the BPLA who are fighting on the front lines with the ability to form the Tatmadaw amid these difficulties and challenges.
