Launglon, June (3)

The local People’s Defense Force told Than Lwin Times that it attacked the military patrol vehicles with landmines around 8 am on June 2 near Nyin Maw village in Tanintharyi Region’s Launglon Township.

Two military council trucks patrolling the routes between Laung Lone and Nyin Maw hamlet were attacked four times by a combined force of PDFs.

At least three military soldiers may have been killed or injured in the incident, according to a PDF member. The injured were evacuated by social workers.

After patrol vehicles were hit by landmines set by PDFs, the junta opened fire on the west side of Nyin Maw village, forcing the garden workers to flee.

In recent days, regime vehicles have been targeted by surprise attacks or landmines near Laung Lone, resulting in the severe deaths of military personnel.
