Misinformation: PDFs conduct targeted attacks on trucks

Real vs. Fake News

Mingalabar!

Welcome to Than Lwin Times’s Real vs. Fake News program.

The fake news circulating on social media about the people’s revolution movement since the military coup will be checked and identified through the Real vs. Fake News program.

The fake news spread by military lobbyists that claims “PDFs kill people, loot property targeting trucks” will be examined today.

The pro-military lobbyists spread this inauthentic content since September 28.

They were disseminated via social media pages and fake accounts, like Myanmar News, that typically publicize pro-military content.

They posted images and video footage of armed groups shooting at a vehicle with the headline, “PDFs kill people, loot property targeting trucks”.

You can see the accounts of the military supporters at the link below.

When Than Lwin Times checked the information, it was revealed that army supporters were disseminating incorrect information.

In reality, on September 25, at 12:29 in the afternoon, the People’s Knight Defense Force (PDF-Myinmu) attacked a convoy of six vehicles traveling from Sagaing to Monywa.

The Civilian Defence and Security Organization of Myaung (CDSOM) also released a statement that PDFs fired at the military vehicles of Sagaing’s 33rd Division driving towards Monywa.

The Mandalay Free Press news agency also reported that the junta troops raided and looted villages in Sagaing Region and transported stolen goods between Monywa and Sagaing’s 33rd Division.

The images posted by military supporters are screenshots taken from the video file of the People’s Knight Defense Force (PDF Myinmu).

You can see the full report of the People’s Knight Defense Force (PDF-Myinmu) at the link below.

Therefore, the news spread by military lobbyists on social media, ” PDFs kill people, loot property targeting trucks” is just a fake story.
