The junta troops arrested two local men in Ya Nge village in Tanintharyi’s Thayatchaung on February 7 and shot them dead on the road, the locals told Than Lwin Times.
The 20-strong troops entered Ya Nge village after 9 pm and killed two men on their way to the village.
The two men who were detained by military council were found dead around 10 am on February 7 near the monastery outside the village with injuries to their heads.
The locals claimed that the two men were Ko Phyo Nge Zaw and Ko Paing Phyo, one of whom was from a monastery and the other from a rubber plantation.
In October, junta troops killed two villagers and destroyed two homes in lower Thayatchaung village.
