Myanmar’s junta chief Min Aung Hlaing said that some powerful countries are interfering in the internal affairs of his country for various reasons, and trying to undermine stability and unity of the country.
At the Myanmar-Russia Friendship and Cooperation Forum to mark the 75 anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations held on 16 February, the junta chief said, “It is regrettable that some powerful countries are putting pressure to manipulate geopolitically important counties like Myanmar, and to widen their influence with blames and sanctions.”
He also expressed thanks to Russian leaders and its people for their unwavering support to Myanmar in overcoming various challenges based on pessimistic views and attempts of the superpowers.
The junta leader reiterated his commitment on further cooperation with Russia in bilateral ties, trade, tourism, cultures, sports and other sectors. However, international community is more closer ties with the shadow National Unity Government in diplomatic affairs without regard to junta regime.
