The combined force of KNLA Brigade 5 seized the military council’s Mae Ka Hta outpost near the Thai-Myanmar border in KNU-held Hpapun District, according to the Brigade 5 spokesperson and resistance forces.
The joint force of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) raided the long-standing Mae Ka Htar camp near the Salween River on the Thai-Myanmar border in Karen State’s Hpapun District, around 5 am on March 28.
There was an exchange of fire for almost one hour in the raid on the junta outpost, which was captured by the KNLA and its allies, and burned down later.
The Force for Federal Democracy (FFD) reported that weapons and ammunition were also confiscated; the regime troops suffered heavy casualties, but the exact number is not yet known.
According to the FFD statement, a large number of drones were used in raiding the camp, and one resistance fighter was killed and another was injured.
After Mae Ka Hta outpost was set on fire, the regime troops sent out aircraft, forcing the locals to flee.
