3 killed, 10 injured in military’s airstrike on IDP camp in Htilin

Htilin, 22 April

Myanmar military’s airstrike on the camp of internally displaced persons in Htilin Township, Magway region, killed 3 persons and 10 were injured, said locals to Than Lwin Times.

The jet fighters attacked the joint office of public administration and IDP management office around 12 noon on 20 April.

The causalities were two men and one woman. Out of 12 injured persons, 4 were in the critical condition.

“The military jet fighter carried out attack in the afternoon after we have lunch. Due to increased vigilance, causality was not high. We have not known the number of bombs the military dropped,” said a local.

The aerial attack occurred without ongoing conflicts. Difficult access to internet connection has caused the delay of information for this attack.

After this air raid on facilities of IDPs in Laungbolay village, the junta troops set fire to Punna and Pazinchaung villages.

About 5 people have been killed in the villages of Mindat in Chin State, Khaukdu and Htilin Lin townships of Magway region due to military’s airstrikes.

The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners said that 101 persons in Chin State and 281 persons in Magway region were killed in airstrikes and heavy weapons shells after the military coup.
