Drone attack hits coalition camp of junta and BGF in Belin’s Maepali village

Belin, May (14)

The Thaton-PDF launched a drone attack on the coalition camp of military regime and aligned Border Guard Force (BGF) in Maepalin village in Mon State’s Belin Township around noon on May 13.

The joint force of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and the People’s Defense Force (PDF) dropped four bombs with a drone on the junta-led coalition camp where nearly 30 troops were stationed.

According to the revolutionary group, the bombs dropped inside the joint camp and exploded, possibly killing the junta soldiers, and the details of the situation are being investigated.

The regime forces fired at the route of the drone, but the joint forces said they were able to retreat without any casualties.

On April 9, the KNLA coalition force attacked the Maelan BGF camp in Belin Township with a drone, killing two BGF officers, said the sources from KNU’s Thaton District.

Although the military council has not recently engaged in any military operations in the territory of KNU Brigade 1 in Belin Township, more than 7,000 civilians have fled the frequent shelling of heavy weapons by the junta.
