Starting on September 25, the fake news was circulated on the Telegram channels of Hmine Wei, Yan Gyi Aung, and Han Nyein Oo.
Than Lwin Times discovered that the rumor spread on social media is just misinformation.
Furthermore, reliable news outlets also stated that the statement was false.
According to a report of the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) Battalion-12, the photos are of female comrades of KNDF Battalion-12 conducting security checks in the KNDF’s territory on September 21.
The photos and content spread by the military supporters are not related and are just misinformation.
