Myanmar military council released arrest warrants to two senior officials of United Wa State Army (UWSA) needed in China for their alleged leading role in telecom fraud gangs.
The military media outlets reported they are suspected for committing online scams, luring people, kidnapping, and soliciting people as well as attempting and encouraging such crimes in the Wa Self-Administered Division, Shan State. And that Hopan district court has issued an arrest warrant on 17 October.
The UWSA has stated that these cases have undermined relationships with neighbouring countries and international countries.
Pauk Aik Pann wa a senior official of construction department in Wa state and Aik Hauk, and Chinese police has offered a reward of 100,000 to 500,000 renminbi for information and cooperation leading to their arrests.
UWSA has transferred the suspects in online fraud gangs to China in September.
