Junta offers reward of Ks 30 million in hunt for Dawei District strike leader, Ko Min Lwin Oo

A reward of Ks 30 million will be awarded to those who can provide information about Ko Min Lwin Oo, the leader of the Democracy Movement Strike Committee-Dawei, Tanintharyi Region, reported by the Dawei District’s security and peace building team of military council on April 12.

In Launglon Township, the military council has put up notices at intersections and lampposts announcing that it will reward those who arrest Ko Min Lwin Oo, who is organizing youths, inciting riots, and disrupting the peace of the area.

Ko Min Lwin Oo noted that the nation has already realized that the revolution was born among the people and that the young people who are participating in various aspects of the revolution are not participating because of the temptation of someone or a group.

Regarding the case of Ko Min Lwin Oo, the officials of Democracy Movement Strike Committee-Dawei announced that they are trying to achieve federal democracy through non-violent public movement without committing any violent acts.

Ko Min Lwin Oo was issued a warrant under Section 505(a) of the Penal Code in March 2021, and in March 2023, the military council opened another case against him under the Terrorism Act, and he is still on the run.
