U Saw Soe Thein, a village administrator in Kyar Kwin in Mon State’s Belin Township, was shot dead around 7 am on December 29, the residents told Than Lwin Times.

Junta-appointed U Saw Soe Thein was shot by unknown gunmen on a motorcycle in front of his home.

Administrator U Saw Soe Thein died on the spot after receiving six gunshots to the head and body.

According to local residents, administrator U Saw Soe Thein is notorious for threatening villagers and cooperating with the military council.

According to reports, the Military Council inspected the late administrator U Saw Soe Thein’s body before having it transported to Belin Public Hospital.

After the military coup, at least 20 and informants from Beilin Township were shot and killed.
