The police station in Mon State’s Ye Township was attacked with gunfire at around 3 pm on July 28, the locals told Than Lwin Times.
The Ye Giant group attacked the police station in the midst of tight security by junta troops.
The official from Ye Giant said three policemen were killed in the attack.
The People’s Defense Force said they would step up their operations, and urged the people to be cautious.
After the police station was attacked, the regime forces conducted indiscriminate shooting and inspections of the commuters.
On July 27, the Mon State Revolution Organization (MSRO) attacked the military checkpoint near the bridge in Ye Township.
During the attack, one military person was killed, the MSRO reported.
