A base camp of Mawlamyain People’s Defense Force and the Son Ye Urban Guerrilla Joint Force in Kyaikmaw Township was seized in Mawlamyine’s Kyaikmaraw Township, Mawlamyine PDF reported.
The military council troops detained two PDF members and a young civilian in a raid on the base on July 28.
Following the seizure of firearms and related equipment, two more PDF were arrested on July 29.
The Mawlamyine PDF said that the regime had released information about the three arrestees, while the remaining two were hidden from the list.
The junta’s propaganda Telegram accounts posted that three PDF soldiers were captured along with weapons and ammunition during a raid on a PDF camp in Kyaikmaro Township.
It was the first time that a PDF camp had been occupied in Mawlamyine for a year and a half after the military coup.
