The regime forces set ablaze Latku village in Tanintharyi Region’s Palaw Township in the battle, destroying 10 houses, according to resistance fighters.
Since 14 September, 100- strong junta troops have invaded Lattku village, sparking a clash between the two rival forces.
After the battle, junta army stormed Latku village and burned down the houses on 15 September.
at least 10 houses were destroyed due to the arson attack of the junta army, and the details of the damage are not yet known due to the presence of the regime forces in the village, said the spokesperson of Myeik Battalion 1.
The fighting caused the entire village of Latku to flee, and about 100 villagers were trapped inside the monastery, according to local.
Fighting continued on September 16, and the details of the casualties on both sides are still unknown.
In August, nearly 20 houses were destroyed in arson attacks by regime forces in Tanintharyi Region, according to local research organizations.
