At the Arakan Army’s second press conference on April 5, spokesman Khaing Thukha warned that the military council should not meddle with the AA’s administration and justice in Rakhine State.
He went on to say that the military council was interferring with the Arakan Army’s administration and justice in Rakhine State, as well as the process of reconciliation with Islam.
A military clash could ensue if the military council does not stop the harassment, according to Khaing Thukha.
“The military council continues to send us letters of protest over the administration and development of Rakhine State. I’d want to point out that the regime must exercise caution in this regard,” Khaing Thu Kha expressed his thoughts.
He also lauded the new generation of young people working to overthrow the military regime, and stated that AA was continually monitoring the political situation on the mainland.
When it comes to whether or not AA was formally active in the Spring Revolution, “History will make a decision shortly. Some things must be expressed orally, while others must be done correctly, needless to say,” he remarked.
“Because it is a people-centered organization, the Arakan Army (AA) follows the desire of the people,” he stated.
He also welcomed the offer of an informal meeting by the National Unity Government (NUG) and said that the issue of bilateral talks would be decided at the Central Committee meeting following the Arakan Army Day ceremony.
On April 10, the 13th Arakan Army Day will be commemorated in Rakhine State, as well as other regions of the country and abroad.
