Yangon, July (29)
Since the Yangon Urban Guerrilla Groups would step up their operations, they again requested the people and the media not to post reports of the attack immediately.
In retaliation for the military council’s execution of four pro-democracy activists, including Ko Jimmy and Ko Phyo Zeyar Thaw, urban guerrilla forces plan to intensify the operations.
As a result, the UG requested that news of the attacks not be published by the news media or the general public right away but rather wait until it has been reported by the relevant resistance forces.
“Whether it’s an explosion or a gunshot attack, we need time to escape. Therefore, we request both the news media and the people not to post the news immediately and only post it after the revolution groups have released it,” said a member of the Yangon Urban Guerrilla.
The Yangon Guerrilla Groups have named this operation “Zeya Thaw Mission” and have said that the attacks will be stepped up.
On the night of July 27, the Daung Sit The attacked two police stations in Yanglon’s Thakayta Township as part of Zeya Thaw Mission.
The military council has now tightened security in Yangon, conducting searches and security checks in plain clothes.
