Ye, July (28)

The Mon State Revolutionary Organization (MSRO) said that they attacked the military checkpoint near the bridge in Mon State’s Ye Township at around 7 am on July 27.

The statement said that this operation was Mission No. 1 to take revenge for Ko Jimmy, Ko Phyo Zeya Thaw, Ko Hla Myo Aung and Ko Aung Thu Ra Zaw, who were executed by the junta.

Following the attack, one soldier was killed and several others were wounded, Ko Agga, the associate in-charge of the MSRO, told Than Lwin Times.

The locals said that after the junta checkpoint was attacked, the regime forces blocked the neighborhoods and conducted searches.

The MSRO frequently ambushed regime forces while destroying the junta’s Mytel Towers and bombing government offices to warn the staff.

The MSRO is a revolutionary force in the Mon State and it was formed with the intention of overthrowing the dictatorship, putting an end to the civil war, and establishing a federal democracy that cherishes the people’s human rights and democracy.
