Young adults aboard a passenger van were arrested by junta forces in Ganga on their way to Hpa-kant, Kachin State.
The 17 persons, including the driver and young adults, remain detained over 10 days as they were captured on 7 February at the checkpoint of No.50 Infantry Division.
A local accused junta-backed Pyusawthee militias of loading military equipment of people defense forces to set a trap for the youth adults who tried to avoid forced recruitment of junta regime for its militias.
However, the Than Lwin Times is still working to confirm this accusation. The junta declared martial law in 37 townships, including Gangaw, Tilin, Myaing, Pauk and Saw townships in Magway region.
