Sagaing, 5 April
The Ministry of Defence under the National Unity Government said in its report that 649 junta soldiers were killed and 756 were injured in 417 armed conflicts in its No.1 Military Regional Command that covers Sagaing, Magway, Mandalay and northern Shan State in February this year.
These attacks were jointly carried out by people defence forces under the No.1 Military Regional Command and the joint forces of EROs and PDFs.
Ammunition and 30 weapons were also seized from the military troops.
Moreover, 33 members of people defence forces were killed, and 97 were injured in the attacks.
The MOD has organized five military regional commands—northern, southern, central, eastern and western.
