Two soldiers were killed and two others injured when they hit a stake mine near the Ywar Lay cemetery intersection in Theinzayet Twon, Mon State’s Kyaikto Township, according to the Kyaikto Revolutionary Force (KRF).

On August 24, at around 9:00 p.m., a military unit consisting of nearly 30 members of the regime troops and affiliated Pyu Saw Hti members hit a stake mine planted by the resistance forces.

The KRF spokesperson told Than Lwin Times that the junta army retreated after picking up the dead soldiers.

Two soldiers were killed, one Pyu Saw Hti member, and one junta soldier were injured in the explosion, said the source, citing a military source.

The Revolutionary Forces conducted inspections on the road in the area of Theinzayet in recent days.

The Light Infantry Battalion 207 and Artillery 310, based in the resistance stronghold of Theinzayet, used to fire heavy weapons towards the villages every day.
