Joint forces of local resistance groups carried out drone attacks on police station and office of general administration department in Paung township, Mon state, on 27 August night.
The resistance force Tabinshwehtee column reported that the attack was jointly carried out by KNLA/PDF of Battalion 2 under Brigade 1 in Thahton district, people defense organization and the Special Operation Force, dropping seven bombs by drones. The bombs dropped near the fence of police station, and near water tank tower in the compound of GAD office.
A local said, “We heard bomb explosion, but no report of injury. We also do not see ambulance car carrying injured person after the attack.”
Although some reports said that five soldiers, including Major Kyaw Naing Oo and a captain, were injured in the attack, Than Lwin Times has not confirmed independently.
Military council is suffering some losses in armed conflicts with the resistance forces in Mon state, and the police station and GAD office of Paung township has experienced drone attack three times since the military coup.
