Hpapun, 8 September
A ward administrator was killed and two other staff were injured in a drone attack on the office of the General Administration Department of Kama Maung in Karen State’s Hpapun Township, locals told Than Lwin Times.
On 7 September, about 10:00 a.m., the Joint Revolutionary Forces dropped three bombs on the office during a meeting in the Kama Maung administrative office using a drone.
The bombs exploded in front of the office, killing Ward No. 4 Governor U Soe Min on the spot.
Two other office staff were also seriously injured in the attack, and some parts of the office building were damaged.
According to residents, after the office was hit by a drone, the regime forces and allied BGF arrived and conducted inspections.
The military council confirmed that nine people, including the battalion commander, were killed and seven were wounded in a drone attack on the Myawaddy’s district administrative office in Karen State on 3 September.
