Belin, 22 September

Two civilians received bullet wounds in the exchange of gunfire between Alu Lay and Dauk Yat villages in Mon State’s Belin Township, locals told Than Lwin Times.

On 21 September, around 10:00 a.m., the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and People’s Defense Force (PDF) attacked regime troops who were laying in ambush near Alu Lay village by dropping six bombs with a drone.

At around noon that day, the KNLA joint forces attacked the junta checkpoint near the old toll gate in Dauk Yat village with heavy and small arms.

Passenger vehicles were hit by gunfire, and civilians were injured in an hour-long exchange of fire.

Two male travelers were injured in the shooting and taken to Belin Public Hospital for treatment.

According to travelers, the attack caused traffic congestion on the Yangon-Mawlamyine highway for hours, and some vehicles were turning back.

Neither the joint revolutionary forces nor the junta army have released any statement about the Belin shooting.
