Joint resistance forces reportedly launched an attack on regime troops stationed at Latpan village in Bago Region’s Waw Township on 26 September.

The combined forces of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and the People’s Defense Forces (PDF) carried out the attack on the junta camp, where around 50 regime troops and militia members were stationed.

One junta soldier was killed and two militia members were injured during the nearly 15-minute exchange of fire.

A resistance member said that the joint forces seized a G3 gun, four boxes of ammunition, 62 rounds of ammunition, and a grenade from the regime forces and retreated unharmed.

According to local residents, the artillery units based in Theinzayet and Pauk Tan village in War Township launched mortar shells into the surrounding area.

On September 10, two members of the military regime were killed in an attack on the outpost stationed in Letpan village.
