Three people, including two militia members, were killed in an attack on the village administration office in Zeebyuthaung village in Mon State’s Ye Township.
On April 11, at around 3 p.m., the Ye Guerilla Force launched an attack on the administration office of Zeebyuthaung village.
The attack killed two members of the militia who were in front of the office, and two guns were also confiscated by the Ye Guerrilla Force.
Locals claimed that Maung Nyein Khant Kyaw, 14, of Seik Kale village, who went to the office to ask for a letter of recommendation, was killed by a bullet wound.
Lieutenant Kyan Yit, who is in charge of the Ye Guerilla Force, is deeply saddened by the death of one young man in the attack and appeals to the public to stay away from the military council.
On April 4, the Ye Balu resistance group attacked a junta-affiliated militia camp close to Ah Yu Taung village in Ye Township, killing two militiamen and capturing one alive.
