NUG says 4 military informants on Pazigyi massacre were arrested

Four military informants for the airstrike of the military over Pazigyi village in Kantbalu Township, Sagaing region, were arrested, according the report of Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration under the National Unity Government.


The four suspects were U Thein Shwe (53), U Cho (61), U Zaw Min (36) and Daw Yin Yin Win (30), and they were charged with Counter-terrorism Act 54, the report said.


Up on their tipoff, pro-miitary Pyusawhtee leader U Wathawa and another informant Daw Nwe Yin were charged by Kantbalu Township Police Force with Counter-terrorism Act 54.


The NUG’s press release also said that Kantbalu Township Police Chief filed lawsuit against six offenders, including coup leader Senior General Min Aung Hlaing under the same charges.


The NUG reported that the death toll reached 168 in the airstrike of military over Pazigyi village in Kantbalu township on 11 April.
