A man who robbed a money exchange service in Yankin township, Yangon, was arrested with his fake gun and knife at the scene.


He held the gun and a short knife pointed to the manager of Thamar Arzi Wa Money Exchange around 1 pm on 29 April. However, the manager could press alarm bell , and the robber was arrested by the nearby people.


A source close to Yangon Region Police Force said no one was injured in the incident.


The suspect was identified as Swan Ye Maung living in North Okkalapa Township, Yangon, and the police refused to mention details of his condition.
