NUG interim president requests international community not to neglect sufferings of Myanmar people

Acting President of National Unity Government Duwa Lashi La requested international community including the United Nations not to neglect feeling and sufferings of Myanmar people and to focus on their expectation from the global meetings.


During 17th meeting of National Unity Government on 2 May, he said, “I request international community and the United Nations that most of the Myanmar people do not want to live under the rule of junta regime even a single day. More lives and property of people will be lost day by day under the brutal oppression of terrorist military.”


He continued to say that the military violated their 2008 Constitution with removing the elected parliamentary representatives, and that with the cooperation of relevant stakeholders, and ethnic armed organizations, NUCC, CRPH and NUG have worked in adopting a federal democracy charter as an interim constitution for the country.


In conclusion, the acting president advised to put energetic efforts for the emergence of positive work plan among the Union government and state/region federal units to be able to implement different parts of charter.
