A police officer was killed by local guerillas at a barber shop in Yesagyo Township, Magway region on 29 March.
The Monywa district’s Company (4) under Battalion 12 and Myingyan Black Tiger carried out the attack in which a policemen in lower rank was injured.
Captain Meik Khe, the leader of The Myingyan Black Tiger, said to Than Lwin Times that 12 policemen were taking position at a monastery in Yesagyo Township since 29 March.
He also said the retaliatory attack was carried out after Myingyan Black Tiger had to abandon its headquarters and No.2 camp, and they also lost two rocket launchers and some ammunition in the offensive attack of junta’s Belu column with excessive number of forces on 17 March.
