Myawadi, 27 March

Local guerilla force ‘White Tiger’ issued a warning not to use the road section between Myawadi and Kyaidon as the armed clashes with military troops are intensifying since 25 March morning.

The joint forces of Karen National Liberation Army carried out a raid on Light Infantry Unit 546 and local police camp in Kyaidon sub-township on Kawkareik-Hpan-an motorway. The military retaliated with airstrikes.

The warning of ‘White Tiger’ group signed by its commanding office Captain Kyaw Thet said, “As fighting and security affairs are extremely complicated in Kyaidon and Myawadi of Kayin state since 25 March 2023, people are warned not to use the road section in this area.”

Local sources said that some junta soldiers were arrested amid intense fighting between the military and the KNLA joint forces in Kyainseikkyi and Kyaidon on 25 March morning.

A local police station in Kyaidon was burnt down, and some police and ammunition were seized in the clashes.
