On April 10, a civilian car was attacked on the Mawlamyine-Ye road near Orange Yard village in Ye Township, Mon State, where martial law had been declared, wounding two people, the locals told Than Lwin Times.

At around 11:00 a.m. yesterday, a Vigo car heading towards Ye from Phaya Thon Su town was shot at on the way down the hill near Orange Yard village.

The gun attack left U Pe Than of Ye Township with a bullet wound in his waist and Daw Mya Mon with a minor wound in her leg.

According to reports, social rescue team took the two injured people to Ye Township Public Hospital.

According to locals, the area where two locals were shot was also a place where military council troops were covertly positioned.

On April 1, junta soldiers hiding between Bae Lamaing and Aye Gabar villages opened fire on a civilian car that was leaving from Ye to Thanbyuzayat.

On April 1, soldiers hiding between Bael Mine and Aye Giang village opened fire on a civilian car that was leaving from Ye to Thanbyuzarat.

At least five civilians were killed and more than 10 were injured in the junta’s attacks in Ye Township, which has declared martial law.
